WHEREAS,
the Department of Agriculture Philippine Mission in Malaysia,
after thorough investigation and evaluation of two abattoir-processing
plants, has submitted their recommendations regarding the importation
of processed chicken products from Malaysia;
NOW,
THEREFORE, I, LEONARDO Q. MONTEMAYOR, Secretary of Agriculture,
by the powers vested in me by law, do hereby accredit SINMAH
FOOD INDUSTRIES SDN. DBH. POULTRY PROCESSING PLANT located
at Lot 37 & 38 Kawasan Perindustrian Masjid Tanah, Daerah
Alor Gahah, 78300 Melaka, Malaysia;
Hence, the following conditions
are set forth, to wit:
- that the specified Malaysian
Department of Veterinary Services accredited processing plant
stated above is allowed to export processed chicken to the Philippines;
- that all importation of processed
chicken products shall be accompanied by:
- Veterinary Quarantine Clearance
or IVC (International Veterinary Certificate) from the Bureau
of Animal Industry (BAI) and have complied with rules and regulation
of the BAI and the National Meat Inspection Commission (NMIC);
- Veterinary Health Certificate
issued by the Malaysian Department of Veterinary Services;
- International Sanitary Certificate
issued by the Malaysian Department of Public Health;
- Other relevant certification
on drug, pesticide, and hormonal residues and heavy metal contaminants;
All orders, rules and regulations
or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of
this Order are hereby repealed or amended accordingly.
This Order shall take effect
immediately.
