30th Mindanao Business Conference 2021 (Sept. 23, 2021)

Agriculture Secretary William Dar presented the innovative programs and updates on Mindanao’s agriculture industry during the 30th Mindanao Business Conference 2021 on September 23, 2021.

In his presentation, he urged the country’s entrepreneurs and business leaders to continue investing in agriculture to unlock the potential of Mindanao as a steady food source. He also stressed the commitment of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in transforming Mindanao’s agriculture and fisheries sector, able to drive the national economy and compete with its counterparts abroad.

Sec. Dar reiterated DA’s vision for Mindanao, which is consistent with the “OneDA Reform Agenda” guided by the four pillars: consolidation, modernization, industrialization, and professionalization.

The business conference was organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), together with the General Santos City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (GSCCCII), South Cotabato Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation Inc. (SCCCIFI), and Sarangani Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

With the theme, “Changing Times, Challenging Roles in Mindanao,” the conference featured a series of talks and plenary sessions with select guest and esteemed resource speakers discussing top priority issues of the time, present solutions, strategies, business models and best practices to help businesses in their recovery efforts.
