The City Government of Caloocan recognized Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar as “Most Outstanding Partner for Sustainable Livelihood” during the 2021 Outstanding Citizen Awards Rite of its 59th cityhood Anniversary celebration on June 14, 2021.

During the celebration, Secretary Dar congratulated Mayor Oca Malapitan, who is also celebrating his 66th birthday, for his good governance and his continuous support to the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) Urban Agriculture program.

He said that if the contest will push through, DA will hold an awarding ceremony for outstanding households and barangays that will participate in the community gardening. The agri chief added that DA will also provide seeds and other technical assistance to the city. ### (Photo by Adones Buhayan, DA-AFID)
