Awarding of DA Interventions for Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino farmers (Sept. 4, 2021)

The Department of Agriculture (DA) Cagayan Valley Regional Field Office (RFO) awarded various agricultural machineries, equipment, and facilities, and irrigation network services to the local government units (LGUs) and farmers’ cooperative and associations (FCAs) of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino on September 4, 2021.

Agriculture Secretary William Dar, Undersecretary for Regulations Zamzamin Ampatuan, Assistant Secretary for Strategic Communications Noel Reyes, and High-Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP) Director U-Nichols Manalo led the awarding of interventions held at the Nueva Vizcaya Experiment Station and at the Quirino Capitol Compound.

Amounting to at least P55.527 million, the agricultural interventions were funded under the DA-RFO Rice, Corn, and HVCD banner programs and the Bayanihan 2.

In Diffun, Quirino, Secretary Dar was also joined by Governor Dakila Cua for the turnover of the 13.3-kilometer NRJ–Ricarte Sur–Magsaysay farm-to-market road subproject worth P136.7 million funded under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP).
