Awarding of Various DA Interventions in Bukidnon (Feb 12, 2021)

Agriculture Secretary William Dar led the turnover of more than P513 million (M) worth of agri machineries, equipment and other agri-interventions in the province of Bukidnon on February 12, 2021 in Malaybalay, Bukidnon.

Provincial Governor Jose Ma. R. Zubiri, Jr., who was joined by Bukidnon 2nd District Representative Jonathan Keith T. Flores and 4th District Representative Rogelio Neil P. Roque, received the award.

Out of the P513 M, the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) awarded P197 M of farm machineries composed of four-wheel tractor, hand tractors, floating tillers, precision seeder, walk-behind transplanter, riding type transplanter, rice reaper, combine harvester, mechanical thresher, recirculating dryer, mobile rice mill under the Rice Competitive Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Mechanization component.

While, about P315 M of agri-related livelihood interventions composed of 5 units of multi-purpose drying pavement, 1 unit of solar-powered irrigation system, 2 warehouses, and 20. 1-kilometer farm-to-market road was also awarded.

Apart from these interventions, Sec. Dar also announced that the DA, through its Regional Field Office, has allotted P1.12 billion to Bukidnon for the implementation of various programs of DA and its attached agencies and bureaus under the “One DA” holistic approach for 2021.
