Closing Ceremony of 6th Organic Agriculture Month and Oath-Taking of New NOAB Members (Dec. 1, 2020)

Agriculture Secretary William Dar graced the closing of the National Organic Agriculture Month and the oath-taking of the new members of the National Organic Agriculture Board (NOAB) at the Department of Agriculture (DA) lobby, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City on December 1, 2020.

In his message, Secretary Dar called for the overall involvement of the sector underscored the various opportunities that Organic Agriculture presents to entrepreneurs, and small farmers in earning profit while helping ensure food security and agricultural sustainability of the country.

The DA chief reiterated that the “New Thinking” strategies must be adapted and integrated into the program, including the inclusive agribusiness approach through a value-chain system.

“We will promote organic agriculture in a big way, following a value chain system para makamit na ng mga organic growers ang masaganang ani at mataas na kita,” Sec. Dar said.

Every year, the National Organic Agriculture Program (NOAP), celebrates the Organic Agriculture (OA) Month pursuant to Proclamation No. 1030 declaring every month of November as such.
