To ensure continuous service towards the attainment of a food-secure and resilient Philippines with empowered and prosperous farmers and fishers, the Department of Agriculture (DA) kicked-off the first of a series of vaccination program under the local government unit of Quezon City on May 21, 2021.
“We wish to thank Mayor Joy Belmonte for including us in the City government’s vaccination program, and making sure that our food security frontliners are protected,” Agriculture Secretary William Dar said.
At the onslaught of Covid-19 pandemic, the Philippine agriculture was among the few industries that maintained operations and activities despite the challenges of the new normal. As such, food supply remained accessible and affordable for all Filipinos nationwide. (Photo by Ardy Tompong, DA-AFID)
