DA, BMFBCI, and GMBCFI MOA Signing on Kadiwa (August 27, 2020)

The Department of Agriculture (DA) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Bangsa Moro Federal Business Council, Inc. (BMFBCI) and the Greenhills Muslim Business Club Foundation Inc, (GMBCFI) on August 27, 2020 for a partnership on Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita program.

The signing ceremony was led by Agriculture Secretary William Dar and BMFBCI President Datu Nasraili B. Conding.

The partnership aims to provide livelihood support to affected traders in rebooting the economy amid Covid-19 pandemic. It also aims to provide and promote Halal products in the market.

Under the agreement, the two Muslim traders will buy directly with DA’s identified suppliers of agricultural and fishery products. They will also provide area for the Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita store outlets.

In return, DA will provide market linkages and information regarding availability, source, and location, of low priced agricultural and fishery products with the two traders.

The DA will also monitor that the participant traders will strictly follow the Suggested Retail Price issued by the department, and other government authorities, in the retail sales of agricultural and fishery products, such as but not limited to Price Freeze Orders by government authorities.
