Beyond Buzzwords: Transforming Philippine Agriculture!

Agriculture Secretary William Dar assured the public that the country has enough supply of pork and pork products despite the recent outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Davao Occidental.

On Feb 10, during the DA flag ceremony, the agri chief reported that 216,000 swine have been depopulated, which is 1.7 percent of the total 12.7 million swine population.

The Department of Agriculture (DA) is working closely with the local chief executives (LCEs) in the ASF-affected areas.

Dar urges everyone to work together in helping the affected local government units to properly manage, control, and contain for the said problems.(Photos by Gian Carlo Luague, DA-AFID)
