Agriculture Secretary William Dar, DA-RFO 3 Regional Director Crispulo G. Bautista, Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Deputy Director Rosana P. Mula, Magbukun Agro Eco Ventures Inc. President Norberto Mendoza, and Kanawan Tribe Chieftain Berlinda Restum to be represented by Subic Indigenous Peoples Assistance Group (SIPAG) Ms. Marilyn Gates signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to facilitate technical training assistance needed for the development of Sitio Kanawan towards sustainable and inclusive agriculture on December 4, 2020.

The Kanawan Magbukun Aeta community agreed to develop portions of their ancestral land into large scale agricultural production area.

To help them in the development and operation process, the Kanawan tribe has appointed the Magbukun Agro Eco Venture as its project implementor under a Project Management Agreement. (Photos by Gian Carlo Luague, DA-AFID)
