Distribution of Cash and Food Subsidy for Marginal Farmers and Fishers in Isabela (Dec. 2, 2020)

Agriculture Secretary William Dar led the distribution of government assistance under the Cash and Food Subsidy for Marginal Farmers and Fishers (CFSMFF) Program of the Department of Agriculture to 12,878 farmer-beneficiaries of Isabela on December 2, 2020

Under the financial aid, which amounts to P890 million, each farmer will receive P5,000 in cash and food aid.

Three thousand pesos of the subsidy will be given as cash assistance, while the remaining P2,000 is intended for food items specifically rice (P1,000), P600 (chicken), and P400 (egg).

According to the Secretary, the scheme does not only provide farmers support but also ensures the income of rice farmers and poultry raisers who have been affected by the pandemic. (Photos by Alan Jay Jacalan, DA-AFID)
