Farm Visit and Project Concept Presentation in Bataan (Feb 19, 2021)

Officials of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the local government unit of Bataan visited two model farms for the high-value crops diversification and modernization program for clustered small rice farmers of Dinalupihan, Bataan on February 19, 2021.

The pilot farms that use the drip fertigation technology on high-value crops were established through the project, “10 Magsasaka, 10 Ektarya, Tungo sa Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita” under the 1 Bataan Agri Inno Tech Corp, a Private-Public Partnership of the Province of Bataan and Agrilever Israel.

Agriculture Secretary William Dar, Undersecretary for High-Value Crops and Rural Credit Evelyn Laviña, DA Central Luzon Regional Director Crispulo Bautista, Assistant Secretary Noel Reyes, Bataan Governor Albert Garcia, Dinalupihan Mayor Angela Garcia, and Aaron Samuel of Agrilever led the farm visit in Dinalupihan. They went to the farms of Ricky Naguiat in Barangay Daang Bago and Wilfredo Lutap in Barangay San Simon.
