Inauguration of DA-Funded ISPSC Facilities (Mar. 4, 2022)

Agriculture Secretary William Dar led the inauguration of different livestock and poultry facilities with a total amount of P7.3 million (M) at the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) on March 4, 2022.

The new facilities funded by the Department of Agriculture (DA) include P4-M worth feed mill facility for livestock and poultry; P1.3-M worth poultry house; P1.5-M worth goatery multiplier breeder house; and P500,000 worth artificial insemination center.

Secretary Dar invited the ISPSC community to be a strong partner of the DA in addressing the big challenges in the sector. In addition, he asked the college to breed more poultry and livestock through the facilities so that more will also be provided to the farmers.

Project Leader Richard Dela Cruz initiates and maintains the project at the ISPSC as a learning avenue for the students and to benefit other stakeholders in the community.

Joining the agri chief were DA-Ilocos Regional Field Office (RFO) Director Nestor Domenden, ISPSC President Gilbert Arce, and Sta. Maria Ilocos Sur Mayor Brigido Camarillo, Jr. National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Division Manager Aurelia Reasonda, and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Regional Director Rosario Segundina Gaerlan.
