Inauguration of Sariaya Agricultural Trading Center and Facilities (Oct. 21, 2021)

Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar together with Quezon Province Congressmen Wilfrido Mark M. Enverga (1st district) and David C. Suarez (2nd district), Governor Danilo E. Suarez, and Sariaya Mayor Marcelo P. Gayeta led the inauguration ceremony of the two-hectare Sariaya Agricultural Trading Center and Facilities (SATCF) situated at the New Government Complex in Brgy. Sampaloc II, Sariaya, Quezon on October 21, 2021.

The trading center, which will also be known as the Regional Trading Complex or the Southern Luzon Agri Complex, is valued at P100 million, which was funded under the Bayanihan to Recover as ONE Act II.

It is situated at the 11. 6-hectare land procured by the local government for the construction of its municipal hall, convention center, and housing projects.

The SATCF has 160 stalls, which measures 15 square meters. It is also composed of four 15×60 meter-trading centers.

Catering to 68 farmer associations with 2,921 members, the facility will benefit 160,000 residents of the municipality of Sariaya, Quezon. About 20.5 million kilos of high-value crops are expected to be traded here annually.
