Agriculture Secretary William Dar is looking forward to a long-term partnership with private groups for the staging of the Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita as an efficient marketing strategy under the Department of Agriculture (DA).

During the program for the “Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita sa SM City Baguio,” Secretary Dar thanked Resto PH President Eric Teng and the management of SM Supermalls for taking the initiative to help local farmers market their produce in the malls.

“This pandemic has affected us in so many ways, but we must always turn challenges into opportunities,” Dar said.

He added that the Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita is the quick response initiative of the government and the private sector to help farmers sell their harvest and prevent from incurring a loss.

“This is a win-win arrangement for many as farmers get to sell directly and earn profits from their produce, while consumers are able to buy quality and safe food essentials at lower prices,” Sec. Dar added.

Aside from fresh fruits and vegetables, the “Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita sa SM City Baguio” offers organically-grown produce and indigenous products such as heirloom rice.
