Envisioning a modernized, productive, and bankable livestock, poultry, aquaculture, and feeds industries in the Philippines, the Department of Agriculture (DA)—led by Assistant Secretary for Swine and Poultry Michael Garcia and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Director Elizer Salilig—joined the international-based company Informa Markets in opening the Livestock and Aquaculture Philippines Expo 2025 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, Pasay City on June 25.
With the theme, “Empowering agri-fisheries through modern technology and innovation,” the annual trade fair and exhibition serves as a platform to promote various technologies, products, and services of over 200 exhibitors—including DA Family agencies for livestock and fisheries—to around 10,000 local and international visitors.
Experts from the Department and other institutions also share their knowledge as well as the latest trends in animal health production, marketing, research for development (R4D), and other topics during conferences and technical seminars held across the three-day event.
Running until June 27, this year’s Livestock and Aquaculture Philippines marks the fourth collaborative installment between Informa Markets and the Philippine DA, through the Office of the Undersecretary for Livestock (OUSL) and BFAR. ### (Text by: Krystelle Ymari A.
