Now on its fifth year, this year’s Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) competition, held in Iloilo City from April 20 to 23, 2026, leveled up with the introduction of another set of special awards, such as the Social Innovation Award, Excellence in Product Packaging and Labeling, Indigenous Innovation Award, Young Regenerative Agriculture Award, and Agriculture Technology Development Award.
Beyond providing capital grants, the YFC Program also creates opportunities for youth to further upscale and improve their enterprises through coaching and mentoring, support for local and international product promotion, and gatherings that open doors to market access and networking opportunities. ### (Ira Y.
