Opening of 11.91-kilometer FMR in Atok, Benguet (Oct. 29, 2020)

Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary William Dar led the opening of the 11.91-kilometer farm-to-market road (FMR) along Jose Mencio in Atok, Benguet on October 29, 2020.

The FMR project, with a total cost of P202.34 million and funded under the Philippine Rural Development Project, will benefit 11,825 individuals from 2,561 households in the barangays of Caliking, Topdac, Poblacioan, Abiang, Naguey, and Pasdong.

It will also support the efficient transportation of other commodities coming from the municipality including heirloom rice, chayote, cabbage, carrots, white potato, and taro among others. (Photos by Alan Jay Jacalan, DA-AFID)

This event aims to apprise the Bidders on the Standard Bidding Procedures of the Department of Agriculture - Office of the Secretary and the introduction of Green Procurement conditions in the procurement of Lease of Venue, Catering of Food Provision and I.T. Equipment.
