Agriculture Secretary William Dar visited Davao region’s second-largest mangrove park located at Barangay JP Laurel, Panabo City on October 23, 2021.
The 95.07-hectare Panabo City Mangrove Eco-Tourism Park is managed by the city government with support from the Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ Community Environment and Natural resources Office (DENR-CENRO).
The park will soon undergo rehabilitation under a proposed site development plan, which include expansion projects such as the establishment of a mud crab fattening area, aviary station, a fishing station, a convention hall, and a zip line among others. (Photo by Alan Jay Jacalan, DA-AFID)
