RCEF-RFFA Launching in South Cotabato (Nov. 16, 2021)

The Department of Agriculture (DA) continues its nationwide roll-out of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RCEF-RFFA) Program. 

Agriculture Secretary William Dar launched the program in Tantangan, South Cotabato on November 16, 2021, to provide unconditional cash assistance amounting to P5,000 for rice farmers tilling two hectares and below. With a total amount of P65.07 million, 13,014 rice farmers in the South Cotabato Province will benefit from the RCEF-RFFA. 

In the pilot town of Tantangan, there will be 1,123 beneficiaries who will receive a total of P5.615 million. Local officials including Tantangan Mayor Benjamin Figuerroa, Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr., and 2nd District Representative Ferdinand Hernandez expressed their support to the DA and the agriculture and fisheries sector.

This event aims to apprise the Bidders on the Standard Bidding Procedures of the Department of Agriculture - Office of the Secretary and the introduction of Green Procurement conditions in the procurement of Lease of Venue, Catering of Food Provision and I.T. Equipment.
