Beyond Buzzwords: Transforming Philippine Agriculture!

Relief Distribution in Concepcion Uno, Marikina (Nov. 16, 2020)

Author: DA Communications Group | 16 November 2020

The Department of Agriculture (DA) joined Senator Christopher “Bong” Go and various government organizations — DSWD, DTI, PCSO, PAGCOR, TESDA at NHA — in distributing assistance to more than 2,000 individuals affected by Typhoon Ulysses on November 16, 2020 in Concepcion Uno, Marikina.

Senator Go, in his speech, assured the public that the government is ready to provide help during this trying time. “Tinitiyak po namin na laging handa ang pamahalaan na tulungan kayo lalo na sa panahon ng inyong pangangailangan,” he said.

DA joins the “whole of government” approach in assisting typhoon victims. Together with the various government agencies, DA will push for the collective development of an integrated holistic response to address the immediate needs of Filipinos in crisis situations.

The whole of government approach is a strong advocacy of Senator Go, which aims to converge the national government agencies to work together. (Photos by Gian Carlo Luague, DA-AFID)
