Agriculture Secretary William Dar awarded a total of P1,400,344.50 worth of livelihood support from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in Region III to fisherfolk in the Aeta community in Sitio Kanawan, Brgy. Batiran, Morong, Bataan on December 4, 2020.

The livelihood support is composed of 2 aquasilviculture project, 2 fish cages of livelihood, 2 units of motorized fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) boat, 15 units of seaweed production project, and 10,000 pieces of mangroves propagules.

The certificate of award was received by Ms. Marilyn Gates, representing the Subic Indigenous People Assistance Group (SIPAG). Joining the Secretary was Subic Bay Metropolitan Area (SBMA) Representative Atty. Manuel Quijano. (Photos by Gian Carlo Luague, DA-AFID)
