Author: DA Communications Group | 6 December 2021

Agriculture Secretary William Dar turned over to the farmer-members of the Magsaysay Peddlers Association and the Mindulao Farmers Arc Cooperative of Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental the P6.345 million (M) trading post established in Barangay Kibungsod on December 6, 2021.

The trading area, jointly funded by the DA Enhanced KADIWA Funds and the local government of Magsaysay, comes with a transport truck amounting to P700,000 and various equipment including digital weighing scale, retail weighing scale, pallet, and plastic crates amounting to a total of P300,000.

The center will serve as an access point for vegetable and fruit producers and buyers, who will both save from transport and delivery costs. It will likewise provide the community with healthy and steady supply of agriculture products at affordable prices.

Built on a strategic location, the trading post will benefit not only residents of Magsaysay, but also the neighboring municipalities and other provinces. (Photo by Gian Carlo Luague, DA-AFID)
