Agriculture Secretary William Dar, together with Assistant Secretary for Strategic Communications Noel Reyes, Bicol Regional Director Rodel Tornilla, and Governor Al Francis Bichara, met with farm machinery students on October 19, 2021.

The officials visited the Ligao City School with Machinery Learning Site at the Albay Farmers Bounty (AFB) Ville Farm School Extension-Albay Rice Station in Tula-Tula Grande, Ligao City.

The Albay Rice Station has an area of 6.2 hectares for rice seed production, crop diversification, and infrastructure facilities. It was established to address the province’s need for high quality planting materials.

The station also aims at promoting diversification of areas from traditional to commercial crops and educating farmers and farm laborers about agricultural mechanization for more profitable farming operations. (Photo by Alan Jay Jacalan, DA-AFID)
