Agriculture Secretary William Dar and delegates from the Department of Agriculture (DA) continued the tour of ongoing projects of the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), including state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities on April 25, 2022 at the institutes’ headquarters in Hyderabad.
These include the Agriscience Innovation Platform (AIP), Center for Excellence in Genomics and Systems Biology (CEGSB), and Platform for Translational Research on Transgenic Crops (PTTC), among others. The agri chief also met with scientists in charge of soil and water management, science and technology for accelerated crop improvement, as well as groundnut breeding and seed production.
