This year, the Department of Agriculture- National Organic Agriculture Program (DA-NOAP), through the Regional Field Office X, will be conducting 14th National Organic Agriculture Congress (NOAC) on October 24-26, 2017 at The Atrium, Limketkai Center in Cagayan de Oro City. The NOAC is annual event conducted by the Program to convene various stakeholders, organic farmers and practitioners, as well as supporters of Organic Agriculture to confer on different strategies to further improve the implementation of the Organic Agriculture Program in the Philippines. The NOAC will also serve as an avenue for the Organic Practitioners to share their knowledge and to showcase the best practices of Organic Agriculture in the country. With the theme “Organic Agriculture: A Smart Culture (Science-based, Market-oriented, Adaptive, Responsive, Transformative)”, encompassing the principles of Organic Agriculture, the Program envisions more Filipinos to engage in Organic Agriculture- the ‘SMART’ culture.
