The 14th National Organic Agriculture Congress opens at the Limketkai Center in Cagayan de Oro on October 24, 2017. Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol together with Undersecretary and Alternate chair to National Organic Agriculture Board Bernadette Puyat and National Program Coordinator for National Organic Agriculture Program Engr. Christopher Morales opened the three-day event themed “Organic Agriculture: A SMART Culture. The 14th NOAC pushes for the improvement and promoting organic agriculture in a Science based, Market-oriented, Adaptive, Responsive, and Transformative (SMART) way, gathered various stakeholders, organic farmers and practitioners, as well as supporters of Organic Agriculture in the aim of building better strategies that will improve further the implementation of the Organic Agriculture Program in the Philippines. ### (Photo by Carlos Cezar Baldosa/DA-AFID)
