President Rodrigo Duterte,together with Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel F. Piñol, switches on the first solar-powered irrigation system during the launching ceremony of the prototype in Barangay New Janiuay in M’Lang, North Cotabato February 03/Friday. The solar-powered irrigation system was designed to irrigate lands as wide as 100 to 150 hectares and could pump up to 1,000 gallons of water a day on intense hot days and 400 gallons during gloomy days.
