Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel F. Piñol inspects the native garlic being sold at the TienDA Farmers and Fishers Outlet inside the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) compound in Quezon City.  The Agriculture Department has been pushing for the production of garlic and onion in new areas to address the growing demand for the aforementioned produce. TienDA, a marketing initiative in line with the directive of President Duterte to make food accessible and affordable to all Filipinos, aims to sell agriculture and fishery products directly from producers at farm gate prices. The ATI outlet is open to the public until August 18 while the Quezon Memorial Circle outlet will be open on August 18-20 at the Planas Garden. TienDA was initially launched in Manila on July 28, 2017. (Photo by Alarico Nuestro/DA-AFID)
