Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel , Jr. awards to the local government unit of Limay, P5-Million in funds for the establishment of a permanent KADIWA in the municipality.
The project, funded under the Enhanced Kadiwa Financial Grant, will benefit 28 farmers’ cooperatives and associations with a total 3,826 members. The project cost includes a P1 million trading capital to support the center.
In addition, the Secretary turned-over an onion storage facility to the New Hermosa Farmers’ Association as well as other agricultural projects as part of the government’s campaign for food security and higher income for farmers. ### (photos by Alan Jacalan, DA-AFID/Jay Morales, DA-OSEC)
